Truck in 3 times for issue, still not resolved.
Hi Garrett! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us an opportunity to review your recent service and correct any potential concerns you had. We were able to get your truck back to our shop to correct the repairs that were causing your charging system concerns. We do want to take a minute to address your concern about returning to our shop 3 times as while it may seem it was the same issues, they were not. The first time your vehicle came to us for the charging system concern was in August of 2020. We replaced your alternator and verified the system was charging before sending you out the door. You returned a week later with the same charging system concern where we found your battery cable ends were loose and slightly cracked causing an intermittent connection and ground issue relating to the charging system. Something that we had previously not worked on and since the system was working properly after the replacement of the alternator, had no reason to look in it. We verified the system was charging before sending you on your way after this visit. You then drove about 30,000 miles with no issues to have a charging system issue again. When the vehicle arrived to us this time, we found someone had been in the vehicle since your last visit to us, working on the battery and charging systems. They had left connections on the battery loose. We tightened them and found an alternator connector broken that we recommended repairing. You declined this repair and collected the vehicle from us. This is what caused your failure this last time resulting in the truck returning to us. We are glad we were able to resolve it and our General Manager enjoyed working with you to make that happen. It sounds like we are all on the same page and moving forward in the right direction. We hope you have a Happy Holiday Season and once again, thank you for your time!
