I've been servicing my vehicles at the Fargo Matt's Automotive for about three years now and I am very satisfied. Their new facility is great! The team at Matt's gets that I like to do some repairs myself and doesn't give me any nonsense about it. Sam and others there have actually taken the time to talk through what I may need to do this work myself. I will and do recommend Matt's Automotive to everyone I know. Update 3 years after the above review, Sam left and company grew...: Actually haven't done business with this company since about 2 years after the time of this original review. They were unable to diagnose and fix an issue on my vehicle. This in itself is a little frustrating but understandable however, they refused to take responsibility for the fact that they replaced items that were not the problem more than once. After paying for the first two services that did not fix the issue, I expressed my concern and told them I wanted them to cover the fees with the 3rd visit (which yielded no results either) and was told they wouldn't give me my keys/car until I paid it in full. No negotiation of a discount or anything. I told them that if I paid for this, it would be the last time they would see me after having done business with them for several years prior to this. They didn't seem to care so that is the last time I did business with them. I did reach out once since, however they also never returned my call so I assume they (or at least one individual there) don't care about earning my business back. **Unfortunately they turned into another "don't know my customer's name or care, follow corporatized policies and procedures, no flexibility just what this book tells me" company rather than what it used to be, disappointing. If you value relationships and personal trust with your mechanic, keep looking. This place seems to care much more about the dollars now rather than the satisfaction of their customer...**

Our general manager saw the update in the review and reached out to you recently to discuss the recent change in the review. We also appreciate you taking the time to speak with us and discuss your updates. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bit of a difference in opinions on how things were handled during the visit that led to us parting ways. During that last visit with you, you believed that the part we had recently repaired for you should have been covered under warranty, and unfortunately, it was a result of a failure not caused by us. We tried to work with you through every step of your repair even when we weren’t the ones repairing your vehicle. Our advisor that you were working with at the time actually felt like you and he grew a very strong relationship in the year after Sam had left our business. We were not able to meet your needs and that is okay. We understand that our vision for the success of you and your vehicle do not always align with ours.
